Mr. Joe Siegman

The management of the Wingate Institute, and the staff, are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Joe Siegman, and extends their sincerest condolences to the Family.
Mr. Joe Siegman, was a long-time and true friend of the Wingate Institute for over 4 decades. He alongside Mr. Alan Sherman, established the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame at Wingate – Israel’s National Sports Institute- and served as its first Chairman, and then as the Director of the International Selection committee.
Mr. Joe Siegman was the author of the internationally acclaimed book- “Jewish Sports Legends” that provides extensive information on the sportsmen and women inducted into the Hall of Fame
Inaugurated in 1981, the Hall of Fame, honors Jewish sportsmen and women from around the world who have achieved outstanding and impressive achievements in sport and recognizes public figures who have made significant contributions to State and Society via sports.
Over 500 athletes and public figures worldwide are inducted in the Hall of Fame that has become a calling card for Israeli visitors and overseas tourists alike.
